The game features a modular building system that lets you build however you want. From there, you can then grow crops and develop a farm of your own to provide you with food and even rare plants and herbs that you can sell for some gold. Speaking of nourishment, this will be essential as you go off exploring the island's various locations like dungeons and caves.
If you're looking for a bit more action and thrills, those same dungeons and caves are home to dangerous otherworldly creatures to fight, as well as other hidden treasures and secrets about the island to discover. Just note that the game is still in early access, and development is still ongoing. Thus, expect more content and bugs to be addressed in future updates.
